اخترت هذه الرسالة من بين رسائل أمير البيان العربي (الجاحظ) وهو مَنْ هو في الکتابة والأدب، لما لموضوع الحسد من أهمية وأثر خطير على الفرد والجماعة، فهو داء کل الأمم، ومرض کل الشعوب، أول الذنوب التي عصي بها المولى-سبحانه وتعالى- في السموات والأرض، فهو داء أخلاقي وبلاء اجتماعي، لا تخلو منه جماعة من الجماعات، لذا أردت أن أسلط الضوء على هذا الموضوع الخطير على الدين والدنيا، من خلال دراسة بلاغة الجاحظ في رسالته (الحاسد والمحسود)، والتي عرض فيها الجاحظ موضوع الحسد عرضًا أدبيًا بليغًا وممتعًا، استوفى جوانبه وأحواله، من حيث (ماهيته، وأسبابه, وصوره، وآثاره، وفيمن يکثر، وسبيل علاجه)، هدفه من ذلک التنفير من تلک الصفة الذميمة، وبيان ما يترتب عليها من أضرار على الفرد والجماعة، مع تحقير شأن الحاسد، وتقبيح فعله0
    I chose this message from among the letters of the Emir of Arabic statement (Al-Jahiz) in writing and literature, because the topic of envy is important and has a dangerous impact on both individuals and the communities that it is perceived as a mutual disease of all nations and peoples as well as being the sin by which the Lord - glory be to Him - was first disobeyed - In heavens and on Earth, which is a moral and a social affliction, which is not without a group of groups, so I'd like to shed some light on this serious topic and its implications on the world and religion, by studying the rhetoric of Al-Jahiz in his message "The envious and the envied", in which Al-Jahiz adressed the subject of envy in an eloquent literary presentation and with pleasure fulfilled its aspects and conditions, in terms of (its essence, causes, images, effects, the way it abounds, and how to treat it.
