مجتمعات التعلم المهنية، الكفاءة المهنية. The aim of the research is to know the role of learning communities in developing the professional competence of chemistry teachers in Riyadh. The research sample consisted o, and given the nature of the data to be obtained, and to answer the main research question, and depending on the type of method used, a questionnaire developed by the researcher was used, and its validity and reliability were verified. The results of the analysis showed that the role of professional learning communities in developing the professional competence of chemistry teachers was moderate, and the order of items in the areas of professional competence (planning, Implementation, and evaluation) came to varying degrees. Based on the results, the researcher made recommendations for teachers, those involved in implementing professional learning communities in schools, and those responsible for training teachers
