هدف البحث تحديد المهارات الحياتية اللازمة لتلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية، والتحقق من مدى توافرها بمحتوى كتب التربية الدينية الإسلامية للصفوف: الأول، والثاني، والثالث الإعدادي، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم بناء وضبط قائمة بالمهارات الحياتية، مكونة من: (55) مهارة، موزَّعة على أربعة محاور رئيسة هي: المهارات الحياتية الشخصية، وعددها: (15) مهارة، والمهارات الحياتية الاجتماعية، وعددها: (20) مهارة، والمهارات الحياتية الاقتصادية، وعددها: (10) مهارات، والمهارات الحياتية البيئية، وعددها (10) مهارات، وتم تصميم استمارة تحليل المحتوى في ضوئها، وتوصل إلى أنَّ أكثر المهارات الحياتية الشخصية تضمنًا بمحتوى كتب التربية الدينية الإسلامية، مهارة أداء العبادات بدقة والتزام، بنسبة: (20،55٪) بمحتوى كتاب الصف الأول، و: (17,16٪) بمحتوى كتاب الصف الثاني، و: (25,12٪) بمحتوى كتاب الصف الثالث. وأكثر المهارات الحياتية الاجتماعية تضمنًا، مهارة الاقتداء بالصالحين والناجحين، بنسبة: (17,54٪) بمحتوى كتاب الصف الأول، و: (29,04٪) بمحتوى كتاب الصف الثاني، و: (29,51٪) بمحتوى كتاب الصف الثالث. وأكثر المهارات الحياتية الاقتصادية، مهارة مراقبة الله عزَّ وجل في كسب المال وإنفاقه، بنسبة: (0,02٪) بمحتوى كتاب الصف الأول، و: (0,09٪) بمحتوى كتاب الصف الثاني، و: (5,60٪) بمحتوى كتاب الصف الثالث، وأكثر المهارات الحياتية البيئية تضمنًا، مهارة حماية البيئة والحفاظ عليها، بنسبة: (7,26٪) بمحتوى كتاب الصف الأول، و: (15,55٪) بمحتوى كتاب الصف الثاني، و: (1,70٪) بمحتوى كتاب الصف الثالث، كما أنَّ أعلى كتب المرحلة الإعدادية تضمنًا للمهارات الحياتية كتاب الصف الثالث، بنسبة (45,20٪)، فكتاب الصف الأول الإعدادي، بنسبة: (36,01٪)، ثمَّ كتاب الصف الثاني الإعدادي، بنسبة: (28,61٪). 
        The current study aims at defining the necessary life skills of the preparatory stage students, whether the content of the content of Islamic religious education books in this stage have such material in the first, second and third year preparatory, to achieve the aims of the study, a list of life skills was made and adjusted, consisting of (55) skill divided into four main aspects: personal life skills (15) skill, social life skills (20) skill. Economical life skills (10) skill antienvironmental life skills (10) skills. Then a  questionnaire of analysis of the content was made in the light of these items, the result was that most of the personal life skills included in the content of Islamic religious education books, was the worship rituals done accurately and periodically  with percentage of (20.55%) in the content of the first year  book,  and (17.16)% of the content of the second year , and (25.12%) of the content of the third year , the most social life skills mentioned was taking role model of good  and successful people with percentage of (17.54%) with the content of the first year book, and: ( 29.04% )  of the content of the second year  book,( 29 .51 % )of  the content of the third year book, the most economic life skills , is the skill of fear of God  in earning and spending money  with percentage of   (0.02%) in the content of the first year book , and (0.09%) in the content of the second year book, and (5.60% ) in the content of the third year book, the most mentioned environmental  life skills,  The skill of protecting and preserving the environment, with percentage of (7.26%) in the content of the first year book, and (15.55%)  in content of the second year book, and (1.70%) in the content of the third year book.
        Also, the books that included more life skills was the third-year preparatory books with percentage of (45.20%) then the first-year preparatory stage book with percentage of (36.01%) then second year preparatory stage with percentage of (28.61%).
