يتناول هذا البحث المؤسسات الحدودية بين مملكة قشتالة ومملكة غرناطة والمنوط بها حفظ الأمن والسلام على الحدود المشتركة بين الجانبين في القرنين الثامن والتاسع الهجريين، الرابع عشر والخامس عشر الميلاديين، ودور المملكتين في تفعيل هذه المؤسسات وتفصيل مهامها في اتفاقيات السلام المبرمة بينهما، وفرض العقوبات على اللصوص والمغاورين والمنتهكين لشروط الهدنة، كما يوضح طريقة عمل قضاة الحدود بين المسلمين والمسيحيين كأهم مؤسسة حدودية بين الجانبين، ودورها في حل المشكلات، والمحافظة على استمرارية السلام بين المملكتين.  يتطرق البحث أيضًا إلى دور جهاز شرطة الحدود في تتبع المجرمين وتسليمهم لقضاة الحدود لتوقيع العقوبات عليهم، ودور القضاة المسؤولين عن ضبط عمليات التهريب وقمعها، كتهريب المنتجات المحظور تصديرها من قشتالة إلى غرناطة وعلى رأسها الخيول والماشية والقمح، وأنواع العقوبات المفروضة على هؤلاء المهربين، وأخيرًا يعرض البحث لوظيفة الفَكَّاك ودوره على الحدود بين الجانبين في عمليات افتداء الأسرى خلال فترات السلم، ومدى كفاءة هذه المؤسسات في الحفاظ على أمن وسلامة الحدود بين قشتالة وغرناطة. Abstract This research deals with the border institutions between the Kingdom of Castile and the Kingdom of Granada, which are entrusted with maintaining security and peace on the common borders between the two sides in the eighth and ninth centuries AH, the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries AD, and the role of the two kingdoms in activating these institutions and detailing their tasks in the peace agreements concluded between them, and imposing penalties on thieves And the border guards and violators of the terms of the armistice, as well as the way border judges work between Muslims and Christians as the most important border institution between the two sides, and its role in resolving problems and maintaining the continuity of peace between the two kingdoms. The research also deals with the role of the border police in tracking criminals and handing them over to border judges to impose penalties on them, and the role of judges responsible for controlling and suppressing smuggling operations, such as smuggling prohibited products from Castile to Granada, especially horses, cattle and wheat, and the types of penalties imposed on these smugglers, and finally presents The search for the function of al-Fakkak and his role on the borders between the two sides in the operations of ransoming prisoners during periods of peace, and the extent of the efficiency of these institutions in maintaining the security and safety of the borders between Castile and Granada.
