Abstract

to analyze and measure the nature of the relationship between CO2 emissions, energy consumption, economic growth , trade openness and Foreign Direct Investment in Egypt over the period of 1977–2014, using cointegration and Granger causality approach. The result suggests that there exists a long-run relationship among the variables and the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis is  supported.
