A total of 96 random samples of raw milk, Damietta cheese, hard cheese and processed cheese which locally produced in both industrial and agricultural areas were collected from different outlets at Damietta Governorate, A.R.E. The collected samples were analyzed for determination of lead, cadmium and aluminium concentrations by using Perkin Elmer Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry. Results revealed that concentrations of Pb, Cd and Al in all examined samples of industrial area were above the recommended permissible limits and also higher than the corresponding levels in examined samples of agricultural area. Also, results revealed that 16.7% of examined raw milk and 25% of examined Damietta cheese samples which collected from agricultural area were contained lead levels under the permissible limit. While, the concentrations of cadmium and aluminium were above the permissible limits in all samples of agricultural area. In addition, the calculated daily intake of Pb, Cd and Al for adult person from consumption of milk and different cheese types were compared with Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) value recommended by FAO/WHO. Public health significance of the obtained results, prevention and recommendations were discussed.
