Abstract

Two experiments had been conducted in this study. The first was planned to study the most suitable time for levamisole administration and second to study the ability of levamisole to overcome the immune – suppressive effect of infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) live vaccine on chickens vaccinated with Newcastle disease virus (NDV) live vaccines. The obtained results revealed that treatment with levamisole 3 days post vaccination improved development of immunity to IBDV. At the same time, the immune – suppressive effect on NDV vaccination due to IBDV vaccination had been overcome after levamisole treatment.
