The present study was carried out to test the effect of Eimeria tenella infection on egg production, egg weight, egg mass, egg white, egg yol; and egg shell weighs in laying hens. For this purpose seventy Lohmann hens 22 weeks - old used. They were divided into 2 groups of 35 birds each. The first group was kept as control. The second group was inoculated with 2 * 10^4 sporulated oocysts of E. tenella per hen orally. The results indicated that, E. tenella infection to laying hens decreases egg production, egg weight, egg mass, egg yolk, egg white and egg shell weights. The total proteins, total lipids, phosphorus and iron contents of egg yolk in infected hens with E. tenella were highly significant decrease at 2 0 6 weeks postinoculation.
