Abstract

This study aims to identify the role of Both Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations in supporting rural Omani woman in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. For fulfilling that purpose, the researcher has conducted an anthropological study on rural women in order to identify the role of both Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) in supporting rural Omani woman. The study counts on the anthropological method, using the description, analysis and conclusion approach, in addition to the use of the statistical approach, represented in data's exposition of the field study that will be collected through the research form quantitatively and numerically. In order to collect information, these following tools are used in the study: questionnaire form, interviews, observation and participation, case study, in addition to obtaining information from the competent authorities in rural areas in the Sultanate of Oman. The study has been established relying on a number of theories, namely, “The Functional Constructivism" and “The Role Theory". The current study has come to several results through answering the study questions. A questionnaire form has been designed as a tool for data collection, which includes (120) respondents from rural women who have received loans, aid, and courses from governmental and non-governmental organizations. The study data are collected from the questionnaire including a variety of divergent questions that measure the study variables. For collecting information, the following tools are used: Participatory observation – the case study and the competent authorities in the Omani countryside. The researcher has also used three methods as follows: the anthropological approach, the case study approach, and the social survey. In conclusion, the study has come out with multiple recommendations that help supporting the rural women to prove their capabilities and competence.
