تتناول هذه الد ا رسة حياة الکاتب الأردني "محمود عبيدات" ومحاولته کتابة تاريخ
الأردن في مرحلة نشأته الأولى التي ت ا زمنت مع قيام الدولة الحديثة فيه عام 1921 م، وهو
کاتب سياسي من ذوي النزعة الوطنية والقومية لم يتم تسليط الضوء عليه؛ لأنه من هواة
کتابة التاريخ ولحداثة تجربته؛ لذلک أ رى الدارس الحالي أن من الجدير د ا رسة تجربته لکشف
حقيقتها وتمييزها من خلال مؤلفاته وأقواله.
وخلصت هذه الد ا رسة إلى أن تجربة الکاتب عانت من ثغ ا رت کبرى منهجية
ومفاهيمية ومعرفية، انعکست سل با على شخصيته کمؤرخ، وحالت دون تطور کتاباته
وارتقاءها إلى مصاف الکتابات والد ا رسات التاريخية الموثوقة، لکنه في المقابل استطاع
بجهوده الحثيثة في البحث والتأليف والنشر شد الانتباه للمرحلة التي تناولها بأحداثها
وشخوصها، کما استطاع التعبير عن نزعاته الشخصية والسياسية بالحدود التي تتناسب
وقد ا رته وظروفه.

Abstract
This study deals with the life of the Jordanian writer Mahmoud Obeidat and his attempt to write the history of Jordan in its early stage of development, which coincided with the establishment of the modern state in 1921 AD.
He is a political writer with a national and a national and nationalism tendency. It isn't highlighted because, he is a fan of writing history and for the novelty of his experience. Therefore, the current learner considered that it is worth studying his experience to reveal its truth and distinguish it through his writings and sayings.
This study concluded that the writer's experience has suffered from major gaps methodological, conceptual and epistemological, which negatively affected his personality as a historian and prevented his writings from developing and elevating them to the level of reliable historical writings and studies. On the other hand, he was able through his untiring efforts in researching, authoring and publishing to attract attention to the stage he dealt within its events and personalities. He was also able to express his personal and political tendencies with limits that are appropriate to his capabilities and circumstances.
