Abstract

Industry 4.0 has the potential to transform relevant to all industries and manufacturing systems to the better and increase their efficiency, including printing industry and practical training on printing field. Digital Twins and Internet of Things (IoT) may redefine our future vision of globalization .Digital Twin and internet of things technologies will likely affect most of the enterprises worldwide as it duplicates the physical model for remote monitoring, viewing, and controlling based on the digital format. It is actually the living model of the physical system which continuously adapts to operational changes based on the real-time data from various IoT sensors and devices and forecasts the future of the corresponding physical counterparts.  Internet of things (IoT) and digital twin technology help to prepare a living model that continuously updates and changes as the physical counterpart changes to represent status, working conditions, and work flow in printing houses a synchronous manner. This paper mainly focuses on the concept, capabilities of Internet of things (IoT) and digital twin. The paper investigated also the architecture, applications, and challenges digital twin technology and IoT technology. The paper provides an advantages of integrating technologies and its impact to develop a comprehensive plan to increase the effectiveness of Practical training in the printing field and the challenges of this integration. The convergence of the digital world and physical world, an important outcome of this integration between IoT and digital twin technology, which enables trainees to be linked with operations inside the printing houses moment by moment. Research problem: The research problem is represented in the following points: - There are some difficulties facing practical training in the field of printing, which requires field visits in different printing presses, factories and companies. Lack of using the Internet of Things technology and merging it with digital twins technology (DTS) to contribute to overcoming previous difficulties related to practical training in the field of printing. Research aims: The objectives of the research are represented in a main objective, under which two sub-objectives fall, represented in the following points: • Integrating Internet of Things technology and digital twin technology to increase the effectiveness of practical training in the field of printing by overcoming the problems that practical training. . Determining the strengths and weaknesses of the process of applying the integration of IoT technology and digital twin technology during practical training in the field of printing and analyzing the opportunities and challenges associated with it. . Designing a comprehensive plan to increase the effectiveness of training based on integrating IoT technology and digital twin technology. Research importance: • Take advantage of the capabilities of the Internet of Things and the technology of digital twins in the field of practical training. • To identify the challenges facing the application of Internet of Things technology, as its advantages have not been exploited so far. • Providing the time and effort needed for practical training and the materials used in it, which will achieve economic advantages for the application of Internet of Things technology. Research Methodology: The research depends on the use of the descriptive method (survey and analytical) by collecting and analyzing data.
