-Abstract
The study focused on the technology of using environmentally safe natural dyes and extracting some natural dyes from plant sources that are available in the environment and are safe for use in dyeing cotton and mixed fabrics to improve the functional properties of these fabrics and give them the property of resistance to ultraviolet rays. The study was conducted using natural dyes represented in (beet - red cabbage - safflower - sweet pepper - Sidr) and the use of natural stabilizers for dyeing (100% cotton fabrics -50% cotton: 50% polyester - 35% cotton: 65% polyester) as well as The study was concerned with conducting laboratory tests to find out the change in the properties of clothing fabrics resulting from treatment so that dyeing fabrics with natural dyes leads the purpose of it with the highest efficiency and quality. Gram - Color Intensity Test - UV Transmittance Resistance Test - Friction Test (Dry - Wet) One of the most important recommendations is to pay attention to the benefits of natural plant dyes and try to employ them in other research and work on the use of environmentally safe materials in various processing operations to reduce environmental pollution.
