Social realism is one of the highlighted graphic values in contemporary paintings and digital arts in accordance to the advanced digital image technologies which support visual arts such as figurative and non-representational digital arts. Each of them denies and opposes the other. Although, both are called 'art', they are very different from the other types of art. The main reason for this confusing situation is the absence of a clear demarcation line between “art" and digital image technologies. In this research, there is an attempt to outline a different approach in order to reveal the deep differences between the figurative values in contemporary painting and some digital art aspects. This is done in accordance to the advanced digital image technologies. Moreover, there is an exploration of these artistic phenomena by anchoring art in the abstract values of digital image technologies. It is suggested that all branches of art are specific embodiments of certain basic photography abstract properties of figurative values in contemporary painting. Actually, the major point of figurative art is that contemporary painting in accordance to advanced digital image technologies of “connectivity-disconnectivity" cuts off with social realism.
It can be proved that all figurative artworks share those attributes of mind that cannot be shared in the “nonfigurative" art.
