Abstract

Statement of the Problem: How can the textile printing designer achieve spontaneity in the design of printed hanging textiles in large areas by exploiting all textile printing ways and methods in an unusual way?  Objectives: Emphasis on the interest in the spontaneous aspect during designing and printing textile hangings in large areas on two levels, the first is for the way we use textile printing technology, And the second is specific to what is born in the mind of the researcher of visions and formulations that are discovered during the experimentation in the practical applications. In addition, the research aims at encouraging the tendency to use the well-known printing types spontaneously free from any restrictions which guarantee the designer's complete freedom. Producing a set of printed hanging textiles in large areas using all printing methods and techniques, tools and materials including fabrics which will be designed and printed by using dyes and pigments suitable for printing process. Research Methodology: The researcher has followed these approaches: the analytical descriptive approach in the theoretical framework. the experimental approach in the practical applications. Results:The interest in the spontaneous aspect and the exploitation of the artistic coincidences in the design and printing of textile hangings as well as using textile printing types in a creative and spontaneous way free of any restrictions would enrich the aesthetic values of the printed hanging textile. Textile hangings of large areas allows a great freedom for the designer represented in the ability to combine manual printing ways and methodsexploiting tools, materials, dyes and pigment pastes. results of the practical applications revealed the effective role of using textile hangings in large areas in enhancing creativity and innovation. Fifteen printed hanging textiles have been produced based on spontaneity as an approach in both of the design and printing process.
