Abstract

Tissue during bees is one of the three-dimensional cellular tissue structures with deep square cells similar to beehives. This type of fabric is very versatile as it is used as bathroom and kitchen towels, table mats, small carpets, blankets, and jackets. It can also be used for various applications such as floor coverings, medical textiles, and air filters. In this paper, the physical, mechanical, comfort, and chromatic properties of three types of three-dimensional beehive tissue are studied. The three samples examined differ in the densities of warp and weft threads, and differ to some extent in the tiger threads woven from them. Statistical analysis (one-way analysis of variance) was used to find the significant differences between the three samples studied. This study showed that the warp strand is the dominant factor in controlling the properties of this type of 3D tissue more than the effect of warp and weft density. Therefore, it is clear from the results of this study that the cloth sample with a tissue composition of bee cells woven from thick strings is the best at all, especially with regard to its mechanical properties and the characteristics of gloved comfort (air permeability and thermal insulation coefficient) while the cloth samples have thin tiger strings as they have higher color properties than Other similar samples are under study.
