The architecture of the twentieth century is the product of many events that contemplated the end of the nineteenth century. The twentieth century architecture emerged, which changed the face of civilization. In light of the intellectual practices of Wright, Le Corbusier, Groppius and Mies, Drew, who were the first pioneers and nucleus of thought, the first features of modern western schools of thought were formed in organic, functional, abstract, inclusive, expressive, and advanced technical schools. We can quickly summarize the development of modern western architectural thought in preparation for discussing points of convergence and complementarity between it and Islamic architectural thought in the framework of seeking to meet future challenges and reach the desired architectural values for its architecture. If we look at the Arab-Islamic civilization and its creativity in the art of design and internal architectural formation, we find that it has called for most of the values and principles advocated by Western architectural thought through its theories and trends, with the difference that Western architectural thought has dealt with those architectural values and principles only from a material perspective, and not It takes into account the human values achieved by Islamic architecture, which dealt with the internal architectural space from a balanced perspective in which material and spiritual equals, since it is not merely a structural formation as much as it is a social and cultural content for the people who deal with it within the framework of behavioral and social rules It is determined by Islamic law, and this is what makes Islamic architecture suitable for application in every time and place, in addition to that Islamic architectural thought, with its vocabulary, elements and concepts, has contributed with clear imprints in enriching modern and contemporary architecture, which we will discuss in this research paper.
