هدف البحث إلى التعرف على مستوى البراعة الرياضية لدى طالبات الصف السادس الابتدائي، وللوصول إلى هذا الهدف تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي المسحي، وتکونت عينة الدراسة من (390) طالبة من طالبات الصف السادس الابتدائي، في (7) مدارس من المدارس الحکومية التابعة لإدارة التربية والتعليم بمدينة الرياض.
وقد استخدم هذا البحث أداتين، هما: اختبار يحوي سبعة أسئلة تقيس مستوى الطالبات في أربعة مُکوِّنات من البراعة الرياضية، وهي: (الاستيعاب المفاهيمي، والطلاقة الإجرائية، والکفاءة الاستراتيجية، والاستدلال التکيفي)، ومقياس لقياس الرغبة المنتجة يحوي ثلاثة محاور، وبعد التحقق من صدق وثبات الأداتين، تم تطبيقهما في الفصل الدراسي الثاني للعام الدراسي 1437/1438هـ، بعد ذلک تم تحليل النتائج باستخدام عددٍ من الأساليب الإحصائية المناسبة، وهي المتوسطات الحسابية، والنسب المئوية، والانحرافات المعيارية لقياس مستوى الطالبات في البراعة الرياضية.
وأظهرت نتائج البحث أن مستوى طالبات الصف السادس الابتدائي، منخفض في الاستيعاب المفاهيمي، والطلاقة الإجرائية، والکفاءة الاستراتيجية، والاستدلال التکيفي، ومتوسط في الرغبة المنتجة.
واختُتِم البحث بتقديم بعض التوصيات؛ منها: ضرورة الاهتمام بالبراعة الرياضية وتنميتها، واختيار کل ما يسهم في ذلک من استراتيجيات تدريسية أو برامج تعليمية، مع الترکيز على موازنة المفاهيم في محتوى مناهج الرياضيات، اقترح البحث إجراء مزيد من الدراسات حول موضوع البراعة الرياضية وطرق تنميتها.
The study aimed to identify Mathematical Proficiency level of the 6th grade students. Descriptive (Survey) Method have been used to achieve the goal of the study. The sample of the study consisted of 390 students of the 6th grade from 7 public schools that are subordinate to the Administration of Education in Riyadh.
Two instruments were used in this study: A test of seven questions, to measure the students' level in four components of mathematical proficiency, which are (Conceptual Understanding, Procedural Fluency, Strategic Competence and Adaptive Reasoning), and a questionnaire to measure the Productive Disposition, which contained three axes. The instruments were applied in the second term of the school year 1437-1438 after verifying reliability and validity. After that, the results were analyzed using a number of suitable statistical techniques, which are simple moving average (SMA), percentage, and standard deviations to measure the students' level in mathematical proficiency.
The results of the study showed that 6th grade students' have low level in Conceptual Understanding, Procedural Fluency, Strategic Competence and Adaptive Reasoning, and middle level in Productive Disposition.
The study were concluded by providing some recommendations, such as the necessity of giving attention to mathematical proficiency and developing it, and choosing everything that contribute to it of teaching strategies or learning programs, with focusing on balancing the concepts of mathematics methodology content. The study suggested doing more studies on mathematical proficiency and ways to develop it.
