Abstract

There are about 80 percent of the world's poor living in rural areas, so villages should achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs) through digital transformation, So the research problem is how does the concept of a smart village affect sustainable development and achieve quality of life, that improve the efficiency of resource use, local autonomy, access to facilities and responsibility to build a good society. The research assumes access to the sustainable development of the Egyptian village through the concept of the smart village. The research studied cases of Egyptian and international villages to monitor good practices for smart sustainable development. In solidarity with the project "Hayah Karima" the national project for the development of the Egyptian countryside, as one of the priorities of Egypt's Vision 2030, to achieve the principles of sustainable development, the research aims to review the executive plan of the initiative in order to measure its effectiveness in reaching more resilient rural areas, in order to achieve the sustainable development goals by achieving the principles of the smart village
