The Calculation of Step Harmonics in the Air gap Flux of an Induction Machine.

Abstract

 
The flux density equations for single and double slotted induction machines are presented. Slot harmonic components in the flux density wave-form and comparison between step harmonic for slotted and unslotted airgap surface has been driven. The pulsating torque produced by these slot harmonics and how it vary with skewing are listed. The results are compared with experimental results which proved to be in good agreement.
