Abstract

This work presents an emperical formula of plied yarn strength  produced from ring spun cotton yams. Experiments carried out on several  samples of cotton fibres and the investigation concerned with the influence  of fibre properties, single twist, ply twist and number of plies and spinning  quality.  
The results obtained with this formula agree satisfactonly with the  experimental data.
