Abstract

Heritage buildings are one of the most important sources of energy consumption in the world. As a result, direct and indirect regulatory laws in the European Union through energy efficiency in the buildings stipulated the importance of rationalizing energy consumption in buildings through application to existing buildings and not ignoring the architectural heritage in general, which adopts the energy rationalization system Especially the traditional residential buildings that are architecturally abstract, like historical buildings.
Therefore, any country can adopt these laws to annex or exclude buildings by following the energy efficiency requirements of the existing buildings and there is no global law in the field of architectural heritage dealing with renewable energy.
The research bridges this gap between historical buildings and the renewal of energy, which is the goal of those responsible for the national cultural heritage, as well as the trend of world policy towards energy renewal in buildings
