Abstract

Hydrotherapy includes all external means of using fluids for the purpose of treatment. Water is the best type of fluid due to its ease of change from one form to another and transfers heat and cold to the human body. In addition to its superior ability to absorb and leak regulated heat, Hydrotherapy is part of a group of alternative medical treatments that use water to relieve the severity of some diseases, relieve pain, or clean the gastrointestinal tract of toxins and food waste. Hydrotherapy is also used in treatment programs that include stretching, strengthening, balance exercises, gait training, and manual therapy to rehabilitate patients.
The aim of the study is to design a hydrotherapy program to improve the functional efficiency of the left side of the body for stroke patients and identifying the degree of response to the functional efficiency variable of the affected joints.
The results of the study indicate that hydrotherapy in the rehabilitation process has an effective effect on the functional efficiency of the affected joints, because water exercises lead to faster recovery after surgical operations and achieving preventive fitness, and water works to reduce the pressures on the body.
