Abstract

The research aims at designing a functional training program for children   in primary education who suffer from obesity, and at knowing its effects on  weight and other variables of body forming such as the body fat percentage, the body mass without fat,  body fats weight, muscle weight, the fat burning rate and blood lipoprotein as shown in total cholesterol, high and low protein density, and triglycerides blood, and some components related to health shown in the muscle strength of the arms and shoulders, abdominal muscle strength, flexibility and muscular endurance. The researchers used the experimental method because of its suitability to the nature and goals of the research itself, using the experimental design with pre- between and post-measurements for a single group. The research society was chosen –deliberately- from male students (15 in total) at the age between 9 and 11, in primary school who suffer from obesity -    The researchers have used the following methods: - Body composition analyzer in body 170 to measure the body composition, the proposed functional training program, special chemical substances that clarify the measurements of the total cholesterol TG,LDL,HDL in blood, and physical tests that measure some fitness elements which are related to health. The researchers have made use of the following statistical analysis:  The arithmetic mean, standard deviation, median, skewness coefficient, analysis of variance (ANOVA), test of the least valuable differences, and rates of change. -    The most important results were:- The proposed functional program had a positive effect  on improving the post-measurements more than the pre- and the between-measurements for the research sample in weight variable and some other variables of body compositions (under investigation) , as well as aiding in the decrease of  cholesterol concentration, low density fat-protein, and triglyceride blood for the research sample, also increased the rate of concentration of high density protein for the-post measurement  and positively affected some fitness elements related to the health of the research sample  (under investigation) .
