Abstract

The absence of an evaluation framework for artistic works in motion in the external environment is related to the neurophysiological basis of visually perceived movement and the psychology of art and visual perception, as it may lead to the existence of artistic works that are artistically useless and lack their function as a visual stimulus for the recipient.
Hence the need for the existence of criteria for evaluating artworks, especially artworks moving in the external environment and their relationship to complementary design elements, and omitting the Egyptian code to determine the criteria and specifications for the existence of artworks in the external environment as an aesthetic and formative element that has specifications based on the basic strategies of human perception.
As a result of the absence of an evaluation system dedicated to artistic works, it is possible to benefit from the architectural and sustainability evaluation systems with some modifications to be made in line with the theories of visual perception and visual thinking processes to be applied in the external environment.
Reaching an evaluation structure for works of art in motion in the external environment, in which a link and study of visual perceptual theories, analysis and classification of kinetic systems and the connection of background or complementary elements to the external environment with the extent of vision and awareness of the artwork.
Hence the importance of finding evaluation criteria that are compatible with the characteristics of visual perception of moving artworks in the external environment.
