This study evaluated Curcumin Chitosan nanoparticles versus Nitazoxanide on G. lamblia
infected hamsters. They were divided into six groups: G1 healthy, G2 infected, G3 infected
treated with Nitazoxanide, G4 infected treated with Curcumin, G5 infected treated with Chitosan
nanoparticles and G6 infected treated with Curcumin Chitosan nanoparticles. Treatment
started 3 weeks post infection Stool samples were daily collected and examined. The results
showed reduction in cysts in Nitazoxanide, Curcumin, Chitosan nanoparticles and Curcumin
Chitosan nanoparticles treated groups compared to control.
