يهدف هذا البحث إلى إعداد مقياس عادات العقل لطلاب المرحلة الإعدادية, وتکون المقياس من ستة عشر بعد وهي:المثابرة, التحکم بالتهور والإندفاع , الإصغاء بتفهم وتعاطف, التفکير بمرونة, التفکير في التفکير, الکفاح من أجل الدقة, التساؤل وطرح المشکلات, تطبيق المعارف السابقة على أوضاع جديدة, التفکير والتواصل بوضوح, جمع البيانات باستخدام الحواس, الاتيان بالجديد, الاستجابة بدهشة ورغبة, الإقدام على مخاطر مسؤولة, إيجاد الدعابة, التفکير التبادلي, الاستعداد الدائم للتعلم المستمر, وقد تم التحقق من الخصائص السيکومترية لمقياس عادات العقل على عينة قوامها (281) طالبة من طالبات الصف الأول الإعدادي, تتراوح أعمارهم من 11 إلى 13 سنه,  وقد أظهرت النتائج أنه على درجة جيدة من الصدق والثبات والقابلية للتطبيق.
The research aims to prepare a measure of habits of mind for students in the preparatory stage consists of sixteen dimensions, namely persistance and managing impulsivity, listening with understanding and empathy , thinking flexibility , thinking about thinking, metacognition striving for accuracy and precision , questioning andposing problem, applying past knowledge to new situation , think and comminuting with clarity and precision , gathering data through all senses , creating, imigary and inovating, responding with wonder andawe, taking responsible risks, finding humor, thinking interdependently, and learning continuously,  has been verified psychometric characteristics of the scale of habits of mind on  a sample search made up of (281) students of the first grade preparatory students ranging in age from 11 to 13 years has shown the results on a good degree of validity, stability and applicability.
