Abstract

Phytochem. investigation of Bignonia unguis-​cati L. led to the isolation and identification of the alkaloid hydroxy-​3-​stachydrine and the flavonoid glycoside pectolinargenin-​7-​O-​β-​D-​glucoside.  Also quercetin, quercetin-​3-​Me ether, luteolin, ursolic acid and β-​sitosterol were isolated.  The identification of the isolated compds. was established through spectral anal. as well as by direct comparison with ref. materials.
