Abstract

High altitude platforms (HAPs) communications system is one of the most important systems that support services which cannot be supported by terrestrial or satellite-based systems. One major factor that affects the system performance is the power distribution within the HAP cell, so in this paper the power distribution and profile are analyzed when using antenna arrays in the radio coverage. In addition, an expression defining the power profile function is deduced.
