Abstract

Background: Many children in developing countries, inadequate nutrition is a disability-related. lack of adequate nutrition in pregnant mothers and young children leads to disabilities
Objective: This study aimed to assess the nutritional status of children with special needs based on anthropometric measures and hemoglobin (Hb).
Methods: This cross-sectional study enrolled 208 children (aged six to fourteen, 92 males, and 116 females) in two special needs children's schools, Menoufia Governorate, Egypt. The children studied were classified into two age groups (6-
