Abstract
This study aims to know the extent to which the faculty members use electronic reference sources, the categories of electronic reference sources most used by the faculty members of the study sample, and to reveal the attitudes of the study sample towards the use of electronic reference sources. The study used the descriptive approach, and the study tool consisted of a questionnaire; to achieve the objectives of the study and collect information and data about the uses and attitudes of faculty members at Suez Canal University for electronic reference resources available on the Internet. The study sample consisted of (158) faculty member at Suez Canal University. The results of the study indicated that the faculty members of the study sample have positive attitudes towards the use of electronic references available on the Internet. Encyclopedias came from the most widely used categories of reference sources, in the first place, in the second place in databases, and in the third place came the abstracts. There are no significant statistically significant differences between the average attitudes of male and female faculty members in the study sample towards the use of electronic references available on the Internet.
