Abstract

 The study deals with monitoring the body language signals of library and
information librarians in Misr's public libraries during the provision of library
service to the users, the extent of their knowledge and belief in its importance
and its impact on the beneficiaries, Among the most important results of the study
is that the most important way for library and information specialists to
communicate with the beneficiaries during the provision of library services was
the method of varied communication between verbal and indication.
The study reached several results, perhaps the most important of
which are:
1- The most frequent way for library and information specialists to
communicate with the beneficiaries during the provision of library services
was the method of varied communication between verbal and sign, where
87.47% of the beneficiaries of library services in Egypt's public libraries
mentioned that, then verbal communication only with a percentage of
8.71%, then Finally, communication by signals only, with a percentage of
3.82%.
2- The hand signals that library and information specialists used with the
beneficiaries were the most commonly used body language signs with a
percentage of 41.29% of the total signs used, then eye signs by 21.77%,
then facial signs by 19.54%, then the upper slit signs By 11.64% of the
total signals, then the legs signals by 5.73% of the total signals.

Most of the beneficiaries of Egypt's public libraries are satisfied with the
body language signs of librarians and information professionals.
