A Comparative Analysis Study


Abstract: Scientific research is one of the important tools for the development of societies and peoples worldwide. Looking at our Arab region, one find that the reality of scientific research is not in the desired form or degree appropriate for Arab history in the field of scientific research. From this standpoint, intense competition was observed recently in the Arab arena by launching several Arab initiatives in the field of measuring impact factors and analyzing reference citations for intellectual production published in the Arabic language, including those who continued and demonstrated their effectiveness, and those who stopped and were not completed due to the existence of several reasons that prevented their completion. Therefore, this study seeks to explore these initiatives to introduce them and verify the extent to which these initiatives are able to systematically analyze the reference citations published in the Arabic language.
We aim to explain the role played by each initiative to support and encourage Arab scientific publication and in order to detect the necessary scientific standards to ensure the advancement of the level of Arab scientific publishing, the promotion of ethics of scientific research, and the advancement of the level of classification of Arab universities among the hundred best universities in the world.
