This study aims to identify the concept of Predatory journals, as well as to identify the characteristics of Predatory journals in information technology science (191 journals in the Jeffrey Bell list) during the time period from 2008 to 2018, using the descriptive analytical approach. The study reached several results, including: that the majority of the Predatory journals of the study sample are concentrated in India at 68.5%, in addition to the rapid approval of publishing articles in the Predatory journals of the study sample, where the time period from the date the article was submitted until publication is between 3 days and until Two weeks .
تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على مفهوم الدوريات الزائفة ، کما تهدف إلى التعرف على خصائص الدوريات الزائفة في علوم تکنولوجيا المعلومات (191 دورية في قائمة جيفيري بيل) خلال الفترة الزمنية من 2008م وحتى 2018م ، باستخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي . وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج منها : أن الغالبية العظمى من الدوريات الزائفة عينة الدراسة تترکز في الهند بنسبة 68.5% ، هذا إلى جانب الموافقة السريعة على نشر المقالات في الدوريات الزائفة عينة الدراسة حيث وصلت الفترة الزمنية من تاريخ تقديم المقالة وحتى النشر ما بين 3 أيام وحتي أسبوعين . وقد ختمت الدراسة بعدة توصيات ، أبرزها عقد ندوات وورش عمل لتدريب المؤلفين وبصفة خاصة الأکاديميين بحيث يکون لديهم المهارات الأساسية لتجنب النشر في الدوريات الزائفة .
