The main objective of this research was to: Measure the organizational effectiveness of agricultural extension centers (AECs) in Egypt. and to determine the variables, which affected on its effectiveness. Aiming at improving its ability to achieve their goals and multiple roles. The sample amounted to 112 AECs represented 64% approximately of the total number of the AECs in Egypt. The research was conducted in the following governorate : sharkia , Gharbia, Behiera ,Kafr-El Shiekh, Dakahiia, in addition to Nubaria region representing the Delta . also Giza , Fayiom .Sohag and Assiout representing tipper Egypt. Data were collected by personal interviews using a prepared questionnaire. Coefficient of variance (c-v), coefficient of determination (R). simple and multiple correlation (B-Beta), chi-square test, contingncy coefficient were used to analyze data statistically in addition to means, frequencies and percentages. The main results of this research were: First: There are a significant differences between the AECs in their effectiveness , and less than half of them (45% ) were high levels of effectiveness measured by two individual criterion i.e : goal attainments , and the managerial effectiveness Second: The collectively's 15 independent variables explained 45% and 43.5% of the AECs effectiveness measured by: Goal attainments and the managerial effectiveness respectively. Third: The studied 112 AECs were classified in three categories of effectiveness (high - medium - low) as follows: according to goal attainment there were 16.1% of AECs were low , 38.4% were medium, and 45.5 % were high according to the managerial effectiveness there were 8% of the AECs were low, 48.2% were medium and 43.8% of the studied AECs were high level of effectiveness. Fourth: There are some problems and barriers which faces the AECs , and there are some research suggestions; it can be improve the effectiveness levels of the AECs with high carefully. The main suggestions are : Developing objectives and duties; also supporting the AECs, managerially, financially and providing them with a good researchers from the Agricultural research center.
