It is also included in some industries such as the extraction of glucose, fructose and oil, and the research aims in general To study the response to the supply of the maize crop in Egypt, by studying its production, economic and consumer indicators, as well as identifying the most important variables associated with it and its competition for other crops in the same growing season, as well as estimating the degree of response to the most important variables affecting the response of the area cultivated from maize in Egypt. , and identify the period needed to achieve a full response. The results of the supply response function showed the existence of a statistically logical direct relationship between each of the area planted with maize (as a dependent variable) and the costs of producing the summer rice crop, and the costs of producing the cotton crop in pounds in the previous year (as independent variables) for the most important competing crops, as well as the existence of a statistically logical inverse relationship Between each of the area cultivated with sorghum (as a dependent variable) the area cultivated with the cotton crop, thousand feddans in the previous year (as an independent variable).
