this research aims at identifying the level of rural youth attitudes toward migration to urban areas, to studying the relationship between these attitudes and some independent variables, and identifying the most important problems facing the Research area and push youth toward migration to urban areas. This research was conducted on a random sample of (120) families from three villages in Montazah district in Alexandria Governrate. a questionnaire was designed and filled through personal inter views . Data were collected from rural youth at ''Howd 10, Howd 12,Howd13'' villages in Alexandria Governorate , Statistical tools such as frequencies, percentages, mean, simple correlation coefficient and Multiple regression were used to analyses the data .The results revealed that: 1. Attitudes of the majority of respondents towards migration to urban areas was neutral. 2. The findings from the correlation and regression analysis showed that independents variables were significantly determining the degree of attitudes, they were arranged according to their relative importance to be: Respondent wish to return and stay in the city again, Ambitious self-for respondent, Seasonal employment in the village, Respondent satisfaction for educational services in the village. 3. All the independent variables explained 48% of the variance in the attitudes of respondents.The important problems in rural areas are: Unemployment in the village. Lack of infrastructure services in the village, insufficient income of the rural people, Illiteracy among rural, people High prices of production inputs.
