ترتکز ثقافة العنف فى المناطق العشوائية على منظومة أيدويولوجية فکرية تستند إليها، وتعد تجسيدا لطبيعة التوجهات الثقافية السائدة فى تلک المجتمعات وتعتبر المجتمعات العشوائية بما تتضمنه من طبيعة أيکولوجية وظروف اجتماعية واقتصادية خاصة بيئة ملائمة لانتشار العنف بکافة أشکاله وأنماطه، وتظهر ثقافة العنف فى أرجاء الحياة کافة: فى الأسرة، العمل، علاقات الجوار، والعلاقات بين الأقارب، وعندئذ يصبح العنف لغة الحياة اليومية وأسلوب حياة لقاطنى المناطق العشوائية، ومصدرا للدخل والعيش لمعظمهم وتکرس ثقافة العشوائيات بکل ما تحمله من قيم وعادات وتقاليد للعنف بکل أنماطه، فالمجتمعات العشوائية مليئة بالأفکار الخرافية والغيبية التى تسهم بدورها فى تغذية العنف، وشرعنته. وإلى جانب دور العوامل الثقافية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية فى انتشار ثقافة العنف فإن العوامل الأيکولوجية لا تقل أهمية عن نظائرها من العوامل السابقة فى انتشار الثقافة العنيفة فى المناطق العشوائية. 
   وقد أجريت الدراسة الميدانية على عينة بلغت (80) حالة من قاطنى منطقة عزبة الصفيح ببنى سويف وقد تم اختيار عينة لإجراء الدراسة المتعمقة من بين الحالات تمثلت فى خمس وعشرين حالة من العينة الإجمالية موزعة کالآتى: (10)عشر حالات من الذکور. و(15) خمس عشرة حالة من الإناث.
Abstract
      The culture of violence in slums is based on an ideological system . It depicts the nature of cultural trends prevailing in these societies. The slum societies, with their ecological nature and their social and economic circumstances are considered a
 suitable environment for the spread of violence with its various types. The culture of violence seems apparent in all aspects of life: in the family, at work ,neighbourhood and relatives relationships. At that point, violence becomes the daily life language, a lifestyle for the slums dwellers and a source of income for most of them.
      Slums culture including values, customs and traditions pave the way to violence with its different types.Slums societies are full of superstitious and supernatural  ideas that have a role in the increasing growth of  violence. Furthermore,they make it legitimate. In addition to the role of cultural, social and economic factors in spreading the culture of violence, ecological factors are no less important than their previously mentioned factors in the spread of violent culture in slums.
    A fieldstudy was conducted on a sample of (80) cases of dwellersof Ezzbet Al- Safeeh area in Beni Suef. A sample was selected for conducting the in-depth study of twenty five cases of the total sample distributed as follows: (10)  male cases and  (15) female cases
