ملخص: يتناول هذا البحث مفهوم العدالة عند «بريان باري» باعتباره أکثرَ محاور فلسفته السياسية اهتمامًا من قِبَلِه. فقد تعَرَّض باري لموضوع العدالة کمحاولة للوقوف على مفهومها، والأساس الذي تقوم عليه، وتحديد معاييرها، وغيرها من المسائل الأخرى المرتبطة بها، وخاصة المشکلة الأساسية المتمثلة في کيفية إزالة التعارض بين الحرية الفردية من جانب والمساواة من جانب آخر؟ وهو الأمر الذي يدفعنا إلى محاولة الکشف عن ماهية خطابه السياسي حول العدالة؛ بحيث يمکننا أن نتتبع مسار هذا الخطاب وملامح تشکُّله ضمن إطاره في الفکر الليبرالي الاجتماعي.

Abstract: This research deals with the concept of justice according to Brian Barry, as his concept of justice is the most important dimensions of his political philosophy. Barry has examined issue of justice to find out its concept, its basis and criteria, and other related issues, especially this essential problem: How we can remove the conflict between individual freedom on the one hand, and the equality on the other? This leads us to find out his political discourse on justice, so we can trace the course of it and the features of its formation within its framework in the social liberal thought.
