Abstract

This study deals with the role of using twitter to inform the users of the Arab university libraries, about the activities and services they provide.
Therefore, it aims to accomplish the following:
- Identify the contribution of Twitter (as a Social Media) in the enhancement of Current Awareness Service at the Arab University Libraries.
- Support positive attitudes towards the use of Twitter.
- Identify the extent of follow-up of the university libraries pages of Twitter as a means of the Current Awareness Services.
- Quantities and qualitative trends towards the use of university libraries on Twitter.
- Identify the administrative and functional aspects used in the university libraries understudy to use Twitter inCurrent Awareness Services site.
- Introduce of the usage standards for Twitter in libraries.
To answer the questions of the study, a Content analysis descriptive method was used.
