Sous l'impulsion de la mondialisation et de la compétition à laquelle se livrent les économies mondiales, de nombreux défis s'imposent devant le continent africain afin de se positionner et se développer. Le tourisme culturel est une composante clé du tourisme africain qui est un facteur de développement qui stimule l'économie, génère les retombées et renforce l'identité locale. Pour que l'Afrique atteigne son potentiel touristique, il devra surmonter un certain nombre  d'obstacles. Et pour accroitre sa valeur touristique à titre de destination par la culture il faut avoir une stratégie de développement qui maintient sa position unique au monde, ses mystères, ses cultures et ses arts de vivre. Une stratégie qui favorise la conversation entre toutes les sociétés africaines d'un part et le monde entier d'un autre part. De mettre un plan d'actions précis qui nécessite la forte volonté africaine et la mobilisation des moyens techniques, financiers, politiques, juridiques et administratifs.   With the globalization and economic competition, there are many challenges facing the African continent in order to catch up with the world. Cultural tourism is one of the basic components of the African tourism and one of the factors that support the economy of the continent and highlights its distinct identity, and for Africa to succeed in reaching the tourist place it deserves to be, it must overcome the many obstacles that stand on the way. To show the value of cultural tourism in Africa there must be a sustainable development strategy that supports the unique global position of the continent, and the various arts and cultures. a strategy that encourages dialogue between African societies on one hand and between them and the world on the other hand, a strategy that concludes a specific action plan that requires a strong commitment to Africa and to harness all available resources.
