Abstract

In developing countries such as Egypt, heritage tourism is Avery important type due to its cultural, social, environmental values. Alexandria governorate in Egypt has a lot of assets of heritage tourism which were and still require management and protect on projects. So it is necessary to do our best to protect these assets. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the current situation of heritage tourism in Alexandria governorate, to find or propose many methods to protect this heritage and to development local community. The methodology of the study depends on the descriptive approach (statistical methods) which includes collecting data from respondents using a completed questionnaire technique, interpreting data, and presenting recommendations. The research findings showed that there are negative attitudes of respondents towards management of the heritage and there is lack of programs or projects to protect it, and there on many positive effects on local community in Alexandria in the case of management of tourism heritage.
