المستخلص: تهتم هذه الدراسة بالمشروعات الصغيرة وخصائصها والمعايير المتبعة في تمييزها عن غيرها من المشروعات الأخرى , وتبرز أهمية هذه المشروعات في تنمية المجتمعات ودورها في الحياة الاقتصادية .وهي تهدف إلى تسليط الضوء على أهم المشکلات التي تعاني منها هذه المشروعات وتعيق تطورها ونموها في محاولة للتوصل إلى بعض الحلول والاقتراحات المناسبة لها . في ظل التداعيات والآثار المتلاحقة والکبيرة لأزمة الرهن العقاري التي أصابت أمريکا لتنتقل بعد ذلک لبقية القطاعات الاقتصادية والدول وبدرجات متفاوتة اُقترح عدد من الحلول التي کانت و لا تزال محل أخذ ورد من قبل الاقتصاديين وغيرهم. ومن بين تلک الحلول سياسة معدل الفائدة الصفري.    
  Abstract: This study is concerned with small projects, their characteristics and the criteria used for distinguishing them from other projects. The importance of these projects is highlighted in the development of societies and their role in economic life. It aims at highlighting the main problems that these projects face and hindering their development and growth in an attempt to reach some solutions And appropriate suggestions. The study concluded that these projects should be taken care of with attention to employment, interest in information and research, non-reliance on informal sources of funding, and the need to find new banking financing formulas to deal with small enterprises on unconventional grounds.
