تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى عرض وتحليل دور اقتصاد المعرفة في تدعيم التنمية المستدامة في مصر، وإتباعا لنهجا التحليل الوصفي والمقارن، أظهرت الدراسة أن اقتصاد المعرفة أحدث نقلة نوعية في علم الاقتصاد، عبر التحول من الاعتماد على الموارد التقليدية إلى الترکيز على مورد المعرفة، تبعتها نقله على المستوى التطبيقي. وأوضحت الدراسة أيضا أنه يمکن لاقتصاد المعرفة ممارسة دور إيجابي في تدعيم رؤية مصر للتنمية المستدامة 2030.  The present study aims to present and analyze the role of the knowledge economy in supporting sustainable development in Egypt, and following the descriptive and comparative analysis approach. The study showed that the knowledge economy made a qualitative leap in economics, by shifting from relying on traditional resources to focusing on the resource of knowledge, followed by transferring it at the practical level. The study also indicated that the knowledge economy could play a positive role in supporting Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2030.
