Hospitality in Islam is one of the highest human values, and a feature that distinguishes this religion from other religions. Islam has given foreign visitors more generosity and hospitality, to the point that it has established sublime etiquette and high morals for hosting non-Muslims when they come to Muslim countries (Egypt). Islam does not differentiate between Muslim and non-Muslim guests when providing hospitality services; the Quran and Sunnah urge generous hospitality to foreign tourists without regard to their religion, color, or race, and they strongly encourage this. In light of the current events that harm the tolerant concept of Islam in hosting non-Muslims in Islamic countries (Egypt), it was necessary for us to conduct research that serves as a key to correcting some misconceptions about Islam and Muslims, and to clarify the etiquette and ethics that Islam includes for hosting foreign tourists and travelers. This research explains the role of religious men in defining the etiquette and ethics of hosting foreigners in Islam, and developing appropriate solutions to address extremist and incorrect thinking towards hosting tourists in our countries. It also reveals the benefits that the hospitality sector and all its institutions will gain when applying these manners and ethics, which are considered an effective competitive advantage for improving the quality of hotel services.
