Abstract

The tourism industry is one of the labor-intensive industries that depends for its survival and development on the efficiency of the labor level in providing the tourism product. Human resources are also considered one of the elements that contribute to the development of any organization. In order for the tourism industry, including its organizations, to achieve the desired level of human resources, it was necessary to resort to training; This is to raise the level of its workers (Zagonari, 2009). This is because training aims to improve and raise the efficiency of workers' performance, which in turn contributes to achieving the organization's goals. Organizations vary in their interest in training; This disparity is due to a number of reasons, including the organization's lack of awareness of the importance of training or the lack of special capabilities to prepare specialized training programs. Therefore, this study aims to identify the reality of training in small and medium-sized tourism companies in Egypt and the extent of interest in training activity, and to identify the methods of implementing training activity, and how the training process is evaluated in small and medium-sized tourism companies, and also to identify the most important obstacles facing training activity in these companies while trying to reach solutions to these obstacles to develop the training process and raise the efficiency of workers.
