The search targetdetermining the motives that led to the migration of respondents to the Sahel Al-Tina area, determining the degree of social change in family relations and the relationship with relatives, determining the degree of availability of infrastructure and services and the degree of respondents' satisfaction with them, determining the extent of the impact of (geographical factor) on the degree of social change, identifying family problems and proposed solutions To confront these problems from the respondents' point of view, determine the relationship of some personal variables of heads of rural families to social change in the structure and functions of their families studied.This study was conducted in Port Said Governorate, in Sahel El-Tina region, where the sample size was 100 respondents from heads of rural families who migrated to village (7) in Sahel El-Tin region, which is a simple random sample. The data was collected by personal interview with the respondents using a questionnaire form designed for this purpose during. The month of January and February 2021, and the tables of numerical enumeration, percentages, relative congruence coefficient (K2), and the simple correlation coefficient were used in data tabulation and analysis.
The most important results were: The results show that nearly half of the respondents fall into the medium social change category Their percentage was 45.0%. There is a significant relationship at the level of significance 0.01 between each of the following variables: gender, academic qualification, type of tenure, social participation in governmental and civil organizations, geographic openness, presence of infrastructure and services, satisfaction with infrastructure and services, and the extent of social change for rural immigrant families.
