Abstract

The strategy for developing the poultry production at the Ministry of Agriculture aims to increase the average per capita share of poultry protein by about 1 gm/day in 2017, increasing to reach about 2 gm/day in 2030. In order to achieve this goal, it becomes necessary to take in consideration many policies and mechanisms to achieve these directions. The study aims mainly to measure the impact of the most important productive, technical, economic and marketing problems faced by the broiler farmers on the production of broilers in Belbeis district. To achieving the previous objective, the study relied on preliminary field data for a field sample collected in personal interviews with broiler producers in the study sample area. It also relied on the Dummy Variables model to estimating and measuring the impact of the production, economic and marketing problems faced by those farms on the total production returns of the fattening farms in the production scales under study.
                  The most important results of the study were as follows: (1) The broiler farms with small scales and which do not suffer from the problem of high or fluctuating prices of one day-old chicks achieved an average total live weight of the marketed broilers in the lot about 8459.22 kg live weight, while the broiler farms that Suffering from the problem of high or fluctuating prices of one day-old chicks
