Abstract

The research aimed to: identify the degree of life skills to university rural youth and their axes (personal skills - social skills - cognitive and behavioral skills), and their relative importance in Sharkia governorate, identify the level of innovative thinking to university rural youth, and test the significance of differences in the mean scores of the respondents in the Life skills and their axes. And the level of innovative thinking according to the different nature of the college in which they study, determining the factors affecting the life skills of the rural youth of the university respondents, and finally trying to arrive at a causal model that clarifies the causal relationships of the series of factors to improve the level of innovative thinking to the respondents. The research was conducted using the social survey method on a sample of 366 students in the fourth year of rural origin in the Faculties of Agriculture and Arts, Zagazig University, and field data were collected for a personal interview questionnaire, and “Google Form" questionnaire, from October to the end of December 2020, and the data were analyzed using: frequencies and percentages The arithmetic mean and the relative weight, the Cronbach alpha coefficient, the "T" test, the progressive progressive multiple regression analysis, and the Path analysis to track the causal relationships. The study found: that university rural youth have life skills at Medium degree by 56%, and social skills came first in life skills with a weight of 75.7%, followed by cognitive and behavioral skills with a weight of 71.7%, followed by personal skills with a weight of 65%. The results also showed an increase in the level of innovative thinking of the respondents, by 51.9%. The results also showed the significance of the Affiliation level For the local community, the degree of social justice (with a negative impact), the degree of interpersonal skills, and the degree of cognitive and behavioral skills (with a positive effect) at the level of creative thinking, as the variables explain 52.1% of the variation in the level of improvement in the level of Innovative thinking for the university rural youth respondents.
