الغرض من هذا البحث هو التحقيق في دور الوسيط للشبكات الاجتماعية بين العنف الأسري والطلاق العاطفي في الكويت. يتبنى البحث النموذج الوضعي، وبناءً عليه تم جمع البيانات الكمية (ن = 251)من الأفراد المتزوجين في الكويت من خلال نماذج جوجل بناءً على أخذ العينات الملائمة. النموذج النظري الأساسي المستخدم لدراسة الشبكات الاجتماعية هي نظرية الهوية الاجتماعية (SIT). تمت دراسة العنف الأسري الذي يتخذ شكل العنف اللفظي والعنف غير اللفظي في هذا البحث. تم النظر في الأبعاد الثلاثة لـ SIT: الهوية الاجتماعية المعرفية، والهوية الاجتماعية التقييمية، والهوية الاجتماعية العاطفية، حيث تم اعتبارها لتأثيرها الوسيط. تم اعتماد تقنية نمذجة المعادلات الهيكلية (SEM)في هذا البحث لاختبار الفرضيات الـ 11. أشارت النتائج إلى دعم سبع فرضيات، مما يدل على أن الهوية الاجتماعية العاطفية تتوسط بين العنف غير اللفظي والطلاق العاطفي. وبهذا يكون المضمون النظري في شكل النموذج تم اختباره والتحقق من صحته، والذي يعكس دور الوسيط للشبكات الاجتماعية في سياق الطلاق العاطفي، والآثار العملية على مستشاري الزواج لجعل استشاراتهم أكثر فعالية من خلال التركيز على الهوية الاجتماعية العاطفية للفرد والذي يلعب دورًا مهمًا في الطلاق العاطفي. Abstract The purpose of this research is to investigate on the mediating role of social networking between domestic violence and emotional divorce in Kuwait. The research adopts a positivist paradigm and accordingly the quantitative data (n=251)has been collected from the married individuals in Kuwait through the Google Forms based on convenience sampling. The underpinning theoretical model used to study the social networking is Social Identity Theory (SIT). The domestic violence in the form of verbal violence and nonverbal violence has been considered in this research. The three dimensions of SIT: cognitive social identity, evaluative social identity and affective social identity have been considered for their mediating effect. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM)technique has been adopted in this research to test the 11 hypotheses. Results have indicated that seven hypotheses are supported, which indicated that affective social identity mediates between nonverbal violence and emotional divorce. The theoretical implication is in the form of a tested and validated model which reflects the mediating role of social networking in the context of emotional divorce, and the practical implications are to the marriage counsellors to make their counselling more effective through the focus on affective social identity of an individual which has a significant role to play in emotional divorce.
