تحرص التشريعات المختلفة على وضع نظم للرقابة والإشراف المصرفي بهدف ضمان استقرار وسلامة النظام المصرفي فيها وضمان کفاءته بما يتلاءم مع متغيرات ومستجدات البيئة المتطورة والمتجددة ليکون هناک نظام مالي ومصرفي معافى من الأزمات المالية، ولقد زاد هذا الاهتمام التشريعي بعد أن تعرض الجهاز المصرفي للبلدان إلى تحديات واسعة وشاملة منذ  عام 1890 مرورًا بالکساد العظيم 1929 وأزمة جنوب شرق آسيا، وأخيرًا وليس آخرًا الأزمة المالية وأزمة الرهن العقاري أو ما تسمى Gredigrunh  عام 2008، وأدت إلى انهيار أسواق المال في معظم البلدان، ومن هذا المنطلق، يحاول هذا البحث إعطاء فکرة عن الرقابة المصرفية المعتمدة من قبل البنوک المرکزية وإلى أساليب تلک الرقابة المتبعة، وقد توصل إلى عدد من الاستنتاجات والتوصيات التي تهدف إلى تطوير عمليات الرقابة المصرفية وأساليبها لخلق نظام مالي ومصرفي سليم.  
  Abstract: The various legislations are keen to establish systems of supervision and banking supervision in order to ensure the stability and peace of the banking system and ensure its efficiency in line with the changes and developments between the developed and renewable, to have a sound financial and banking system of financial crises, This legislative interest has increased the exposure of the banking system to countries to wide and comprehensive challenges since 1890 through the Great Depression of 1929 and the crisis of Southeast Asia, and last but not least the financial crisis and the mortgage crisis or so called Gredi Grunch in year 2008, and led to the collapse of financial markets in most countries, In this sense, this research attempts to give an idea of the banking supervision adopted by the central banks and to the methods of such supervision, the study reached a number of conclusions and recommendations aimed at developing the process of banking supervision and methods to create a sound financial and banking system.
